- Why is the color off on my rug? It looks a little different from what I saw in the photo online.

In a perfect world, every animal would be exactly identical. This isn’t the case as every animal is different – some cows have longer fur, shorter fur, darker fur, lighter fur etc.

Please be aware that all of our cowhides are 100% genuine animal skins that are byproducts of nature and the environment. This means you can expect some of them to have occasional marks, fire brands and scrapes. These natural blemishes are completely normal – they are NOT defects. Instead, they are simple scars that are unique to each animal, adding a layer of authenticity to each rug.

If you’d like to see a photo of a specific cowhide rug before you place an order, simply let us know and we’ll send you a picture of the exact one we have in our warehouse. This way there won’t be any surprises.

- What is your exchange/refund policy on merchandise?

If for whatever reason you’re not satisfied with your purchase and you’d like to exchange it or would like a refund, send it back to us. We’ll send over the item you want to exchange it for the item you want or for a refund.

- How long do I have to wait for my rug to get here?

It normally takes 3-5 business days for orders to be processed, shipping normally takes 3-7 business days domestically within the continental U.S. International orders can take anywhere from 12 to 20 business days.

- How do I clean my cowhide rug? Is it difficult?

Keeping your rug clean is actually very easy. A little soap, water and a sponge should do the trick. Take a look at the “How To Clean” section or check out our blog section for other related topics on rug maintenance.

- Where can I find rug cowhide rug cleaner?

You’re in luck - we actually sell our own patented formula! Rodeo® Cowhide Rug Cleaner is a powerful formula that gently removes stains from cowhide decor.

- Where do your cowhides come from?

Our genuine cowhide rugs for sale originate in Brazil, Argentina and Columbia. Due to its weather and abundance of agriculturally-friendly farmlands, South America is the apex of cowhide production and that’s where we find our selection.

- Are your cows solely used for their hides, or do they serve other purposes?

Our cowhides derive from animals that are also used for common purposes like food and clothing to unusual purposes like vitamin coating. None of our animals are used exclusively for their hides.

- How long will a cowhide rug last before I have to throw it out?

With proper maintenance, our cowhides can last anywhere from 20-30 years, and it’s not uncommon for a large or small cowhide rug to last a lifetime. We take pride in dealing with cowhides that are extremely eco-friendly and environmentally-conscious.
